I am Allison, the owner and head designer of The Cheerier Interior. I have always had the passion and an eye for design, but wanted to learn the fundamentals behind it. So, in the Fall of 2019, I enrolled in a comprehensive course from the Interior Design Institute of San Francisco. I graduated in Spring 2020 and started my own residential interior design business. After graduating from Maria Killam’s Color Course in 2021, I am now a True Color Expert. I live in St. Louis, Missouri with my husband, Steve, and two teenagers, Katie and Steven.

PRESS- HGTV Magazine
In 2016, the exterior of our home was featured in HGTV magazine. They featured us in their “Copy the Curb Appeal” section which includes inspiring home exteriors throughout the United States. This story was prior to the start of my business, but it pivoted me forward in my design endeavors. You can view the full story here.
I was featured in the March 2023 issue of Kirkwood Lifestyle Magazine The article was titled “Adults Live Here” and it detailed things you can do to make your home look put together.
